I am about to go back to school. I have three days left at work, then one day off to clean my sadly neglected apartment, then I begin my new adventure. I am excited to begin classes, maybe a little bit nervous. Next week the school orients new graduate students in style with a "Wine and Cheese Event." I know I chose the right place for my education. My first quarter consists of two pastoral care and spiritual identity classes, a graduate writing class and Mysticism of Western Religions. I am most looking forward to this. The study of Sufism, Kaballah, Christian Mysticism. It seems like a good way for this Spirit loving, Goddess worshipping Buddhist to ease into a program of religious consequence. I have already purchased all of my books with the help of Amazon.com and it's diverse array of used booksellers. I am enthusiastic and relaxing a bit more everyday. Finally. After 12 years of working on the front lines of customer service, I am letting go. I am changing my life. I am following my heart and pursuing work that is rich and meaningful and that will have a positive impact on my community. As my last day of work approaches, my body is beginning to recognize the change and is lightening ever so slowly. My new work has the power to heal.
